How to Apply

Jackson Prep International Program practices rolling admissions, meaning that students can apply as early as they like. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and are competency-based. Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible beginning in the fall of the year prior to attending (example: apply in fall 2023 for entry in August 2024). Jackson Prep conducts an English-intensive, cultural immersion camp each summer in July. Prospective students are encouraged to attend the year prior to potential enrollment (example: attend in July 2023 for entry in August 2024).

Once the required documentation has been submitted, you will need to make arrangements with the JPIP office to take the admission test. If you live outside of the United States you may take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) in lieu of the Jackson Prep admission test.

  • Step 4: Interview and Acceptance Process

    Applicant Interview

Once all supplemental documents have been received, the applicant will be contacted by the JPIP office to schedule an admission interview.

Interviews are normally conducted via Skype, but are sometimes arranged in person on the Jackson Prep campus, or in the applicant’s home country when convenient for both parties. Arrangements are made to accommodate various time zone differences when interviewing via Skype. A typical interview lasts 30-60 minutes. Interviews are conducted by the JPIP Admission Committee.

Acceptance Decision & Offer of Admission

After completing the admissions interview, an applicant will be contacted by the JPIP office within three to five business days. This contact will communicate the Committee’s final decision.
  • Step 5: Enrollment Contract, Tuition, & Financial Statement

Within 15 days of an acceptance decision, the accepted student will receive an enrollment packet from the school, via mail. This packet will include a copy of your Admission Letter, a Tuition Statement, and Enrollment Contract.

    Contract Returned & Deposit Submitted
Families are given two weeks to complete the enclosed contracts, provide a bank-certified financial statement, and submit their non-refundable* tuition deposit of $5,000 USD to Jackson Preparatory School.

*In the event that a student is not approved for an F-1 Student Visa for a reason outside of his/her own control, Jackson Prep will refund the student’s tuition deposit.
  • Step 6: Enrollment & Visa Application

Once an applicant returns his/her enrollment contract and $5,000 USD non-refundable deposit, he/she is officially "enrolled" in Jackson Prep’s International Student Program. His/her seat in the program is guaranteed and reserved.

At this time, Jackson Prep will issue the I-20 paperwork needed to gain an F-1 Student Visa. The student is responsible for contacting his/her local U.S. Embassy to schedule a visa interview. The JPIP office is happy to assist families with questions relating to the visa acquisition process. For questions please contact us at jzhu@jacksonprep.net, or by phone at +1 601-939-8611, Ext. 272.
  • Step 7: Tuition Payment & Travel Arrangements

International students are required to submit the full balance of their annual tuition before an I-20 is mailed out. Students who fail to do so will lose their admissions status and deposit. Students will receive the new students orientation platform which consists of all the information before arriving at school.  Students must provide Jackson Prep with a copy of their incoming flight itinerary. All flights should arrive into Jackson International Airport (JAN).
